A “Bombshell” PROPOSAL: THE MOST DESIRED MEETING OF THE THREE LEADERS IN ANCIENT OLYMPIA FOR A LASTING PEACE IN UKRAINE!
The war in Ukraine is well underway and is in its fourth year, with all the horrible and terrible things that happen in a war that you are waging in the 21st century with all the technologies that exist. Since August 15, the feast of the Virgin Mary, the planet has been watching a “Marathon” of meetings and talks aimed at reaching an agreement to end the bloody war in Ukraine. A trilateral meeting is planned (or at least was planned) to take place somewhere in the world on this issue between the presidents: Trump, Putin and Zelenskyy. Various cities have been proposed for such a meeting, such as: Vienna, Budapest, Zurich and Constantinople. I would suggest another city: ancient Olympia. Many will find such a proposal funny. I even called it the “Bomb” Proposal. Because it is a "Peaceful Bomb".
Ancient Olympia would be the most appropriate location for such a historic meeting. Yes, it would be historic. Ancient Olympia is the birthplace of the Olympic Games. The idea of a truce during the Olympic Games, known as the “Olympic Truce,” had its roots in ancient Greece. The games originated in Ancient Greece and were revived by the French Baron Pierre de Coubertin and the Greek Dimitrios Vikelas in the late 19th century. Coubertin wanted to unite ethnicities and bring together youth through sports rather than wars. He believed that the revival of the Olympic Games would achieve both of his above goals.
The first modern Olympic Games in 1896 were held in Greece, the country that gave birth to them, and more specifically in Athens. The Olympic anthem was written by the Patras poet Kostis Palamas, and set to music by the music teacher Spyros Samaras. The first verse tells us: “Ancient immortal Spirit, pure father of the beautiful, the great and the true, descend, appear and shine here in the glory of your own land and sky”. The importance of the Olympic Games lies in the promotion of peace, justice, love, friendship, the coexistence of peoples, tolerance, and understanding of differences between peoples, contributing to the cultural communication of peoples, solidarity and mutual respect between them. At the same time, they emphasize the comprehensive development of the individual through sports, effort and excellence, such as the remarkable ideals of Olympism captured in the motto "Faster. Higher. Stronger. More Peacefully".
You may consider me a dreamer for proposing such a meeting. I know very well that a meeting between the three leaders will NEVER take place in ancient Olympia. I only wanted to sow the seed of Olympism and draw the attention of right-thinking people to see that the values of "Olympism" can provide solutions to the most difficult and painful problems of our planet. The problems of the 21st century are not solved by wars but on the basis of human values. Let us all remember Protagoras: "Man is the measure, the basis or the criterion for all things", in simple Greek: "Man is the measure, the basis or the criterion for all things". This means that human perception, logic and values determine what is true, what exists and what does not, and how we understand the world around us. So it is time for the rulers of the planet to put man first and then solve the problems. Otherwise this planet will gradually cease to exist.
